Eg 2 - The Land of Pharaoh

The Great Sphinx of Giza or in Arabic known as "The Father of Fear".
Believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians in the 3rd millennium BC.

Great Pyramids of Giza with Abdullah Husam and Ahmad Sanusi.
The only remaining member of the 7 Wonders of the World.

My 2nd entry for the adventure.....

We've spent there about 2 weeks, I've been to - Cairo, Alexandaria, Tanta, and Sinai.
Visiting those places who had significant history to the ancient world and Islam.

The very 1st day, we hired a taxi and went to the Giza pyramids (hey, I already visited the last standing 7 wonders of the ancient world!!), Sallehudin's Fort, Imam Syafie Mosque, Al Hussein Mosque, Khan el-Khalili bazaar, Al-Azhar University and mosque, Amru AlAsr Mosque and the list goes on and forth.

A lot of interesting places in Cairo itself, not to mention other cities.
Our trip there were the most interesting of all.
It's as such a big history textbook infront of us - you can learn the early human's history and how Islam make it way to Egypt and be the part of Egyptian's way of life.
So the Land of Pharaoh, now become The Land of Prophet - the land blessed by Allah with Islam.

Fort Qaitbey, Alexandria - built on the site of the Pharos (or The Lighthouse of Alexandria - one of 7 Wonders of the Ancient World) in the 15th Century, using some of its fallen masonry.

Infront Prophet Daniel Mosque, Alexandria - claimed as site burial of Prophet Daniel.
Prophet Daniel distinguished for his knowledge and proficiency in the pagan practices of his day, and known for his skill in the interpretation of dreams - as explained in the Torah.
Christians regard Daniel as a prophet, and Jesus is quoted as referring to him as "Daniel the prophet", one of 4 great prophets after Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel as mention in Bible.

Sadin's Fort - Red Sea, near to Sinai Peninsular

Saladin's Fort - Cairo

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum - Cairo; is home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world including the museum's Royal Mummy Room, containing 27 royal mummies from pharaonic times.
